The United Nations defines a migrant as "someone who has resided in a foreign country for more than one year regardless of the causes of his or her removal, voluntary or involuntary, or the means used, legal or otherwise".

Migrant, emigrant and immigrant?

Migrant, emigrant and immigrant are valid and correct ways of saying the same thing: a person who leaves one place to settle in another.

¿Migrante, emigrante e inmigrante? 

Migrante, emigrante e inmigrante son formas válidas y correctas para decir lo mismo: persona que deja un lugar para establecerse en otro.

 Migrante: Se refiere a la persona que migra, a aquel sujeto que abandona el lugar en el que habita y que llega a otra parte, para radicarse y constituir se hogar en él.
